Strategic Plan

2008 - 2009

 

 

Executive Committee

The purpose of the Executive Committee is to provide overall direction to the South Florida Chapter of AALNC. It is the responsibility of the Executive Committee to establish the Strategic Plan for the Chapter. A Chapter Budget needs to be developed and monitored in order to meet the fiscal responsibilities of the Chapter. The Executive Committee formulates its goals and objectives based upon those of the various sub-committees. All key decision making occurs at this Executive level. Input from all Committee members is necessary to the overall function of the Chapter. The Executive Committee consists of the Board Members, which include the President, President Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director(s)-at-Large as well as the various Chairpersons/Coordinators from each of the committees.. 

 
Goals for 2008

1.

Review and revise the strategic plan through meetings with the board to be held December 2007 and January 2008
2. Increase the amount of the education stipends offered by the Chapter to members for attendance at National or other LNC conferences.
3. Conduct Board meetings telephonically for a defined number of meetings.
4. Maintain CE provider status.
5. Continue to develop Educational and Annual Needs Surveys in order to stabilize the Membership by ensuring that the Chapter is meeting the needs of Chapter members.
6. Continue to maintain and update the paid membership database, ensuring that compliance with membership requirements are met.
7. Develop and implement a retention and recruitment plan to retain and increase Membership.
8. Maintain website.
9. Maintain job postings to Chapter members.
10. Continue to email pertinent announcements to Chapter members.
11. Continue to publish the Informer four times per year.
12. Advertise Chapter activities in local nursing publications.
13. Encourage members to become LNCC.
14. Continue to offer Educational Meetings.
15. Recruit and encourage members to become active in the chapter so as to re-establish previous various committees.
 
Goals for 2009:
1. Encourage members to become LNCC.
2. Continue to develop Educational and Annual Needs Surveys in order to stabilize the Membership by ensuring that the Chapter is meeting the needs of Chapter Members.
3. Continue to implement a retention and recruitment plan to retain and increase Membership.
4. Continue to maintain and update the paid membership database, ensuring that the compliance with Membership requirements are met.
5. Maintain website.
6. Maintain job postings to Chapter members.

Membership Committee

The goal of the Membership Committee is to increase paid membership in the Chapter, to increase attendance at the educational meetings by providing ongoing professional support to the paid members and potential members and to promote membership growth.
 
Goals for 2008:
1. Continue to develop Educational and Annual Needs Surveys in order to stabilize the Membership by ensuring that the Chapter is meeting the needs of Chapter members.
2. Develop and implement retention and recruitment plan to retain and increase membership.
3. Continue to maintain and update the paid membership database, ensuring that compliance with membership requirements are met.
4. Continue to find ways to seek out and communicate with potential members to ensure Chapter Membership growth.
5. Find ways to promote Chapter Members to join Membership Committee.
 
Goals for 2009:
